Al op jonge leeftijd begon Krista Schenkelaars haar creatieve reis met een passie voor papierkunst zoals quilling en origami. Maar zij had een steeds terugkerende wens om iets te kunnen creëren, dat nog niet eerder was ontworpen en of gemaakt.
Na haar opleiding op de Goud- en Zilversmidschool te Schoonhoven heeft Krista enige jaren in de juweliersbranche gewerkt. Het was tijdens de pandemie dat Krista op een kunstzinnig idee kwam. Mede geïnspireerd door haar ervaring in de papierkunst ontwikkelde zij een methode om kunstwerken te creëren met canvasstroken. Elk exemplaar is een eenmalige creatie en dus volledig uniek.
Daarom wordt als “Garantie van Unica” bij de aankoop van haar kunstwerk altijd een certificaat overhandigd. Via de sociale media (o.a. Instagram) heeft Krista met 2Becreate internationale erkenning verkregen voor haar kunstobjecten. Naast haar creativiteit in canvaskunst verkent Krista ook de digitale kunstwereld. Sinds 2022 verdiept zij zich in de ontwikkeling van unieke en niet vervangbare producten met digitale handtekening, de zogenaamde NFT’s.
Voor geïnteresseerden biedt Krista de mogelijkheid een aantal van haar kunstwerken in haar atelier te bezichtigen. Dit is echter uitsluitend op afspraak mogelijk.

In addition to her creativity in canvas art, Krista also explores the digital art world. Since 2022, she has been delving into the development of unique and non-replaceable products with a digital signature, the so-called NFTs.
Krista offers those interested the opportunity to view some of her works of art in her studio. However, this is only possible by appointment.
